A lot of trees started from seed will never produce. You need to check with your local nursery.
A long time, at least 5 years if not more. If you purchase from a nursery, it will take less time. Here is how to grow them.

If it does produce, it may be a hybrid that won't give you the same as the fruit you ate. Most fruit trees can take years to actually produce fruit. It has to be at a maturity level that the particulate fruit tree requires to support producing fruit.
Sara. My husband started many a plant from the seeds. As soon as they reach approx 6 to 8 Feet and have flowers then it will produce fruit. I would say approx 1 to 2 years to be on the safe side.
What a great video!
Good luck. I hope it does. That gives me new hope. I really want an avocado tree. All our citrus trees from seed are non-productive. The master gardener hre said it has to do with the grafting??
