I spray and that keeps them at bay, but I know they are still in there...eating away, populating and doing whatever little ants do because they occasionally come out ... See more

Hi Lori-I like the ease of a commercial ant trap— both indoors and outdoors. The Terro brand that I have had great sucess with -is recommended quite highly you can check out the reviews and Q&A here— to see if it would meet your needs. I recently set them up a few weeks ago and —problem is once again —solved.
Once you get these traps in place the ant problem is distant memory. They are very effortless, effective and cost-effective. They do not smell badly like an ant aerosol spray does.
I sometimes also use Terro outdoor versions— outside around the foundation perimeter as the ants can be seen under rocks and in my seasonal flowering planters, the do like shade and moisture.

I use Ant Terro from Lowe's. Just be careful if you have small children or pets that they don't get it. Another thought would be to set off a fogger.
I use lemon juice indoors to wipe down the counters. Also use Jiffy cornbread mix and spread it around. It is sweet "just enough" to attract them and the cornmeal causes them to die and not give any food to the queen.
Thank you.

Baking soda terrifies ants. That's because ants consume borax and baking soda, both of which kill ants. Mix equal portions of honey, water, and baking soda or borax to create a homemade ant bait trap. Wherever ants are a problem in your home, place it outside in a small container.
