Hi there, You could leave as soil or lay pavers or slabs on soil or you could use Old Pallets...... depends on how you use it.............
what about crushed gravel
Hi E, if you want to put a green house where the concrete has been taken out, use crushed granite. It's easy to walk on (lot of parks now have crushed granite for their pathways) and cost effective. Good luck on your project!
You could use pallets. This way you can take them up if need be, especially to replace any that are coming apart. I would also lay down landscaping fabric first, then put the pallets on top of the fabric. This will help keep weeds from growing up through the pallets. Using pallets will keep your feet dry when you water your plants. Also, pallets are very easy to get for free. Just call companies that are likely to have them. I live in a rural area and I get as many as I want at any time. There is a “Carry On Trailer” that literally has hundreds of them. Whenever I go there they practically beg me to take more than I want.
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Pea gravel would work. Soft on the feet and great drainage for a greenhouse.
