If you live in a big city it might be difficult to find old bricks, but in my area, they are pretty common. I found all the bricks in this area which is about 10' X 16'

Most big box home improvement centers sell "used" bricks and are more expensive than new bricks, at least in my area. Look on Craigslist list, freecycle.org, Nextdoor.com, habitat re stores for deals or free items. This may be what you are looking for:

Oh, Leann that was a playhouse for my now 26 year old granddaughter. Got a good deal on it at a yard sale. And the bricks were better a/c they were free!
