Unless you plan to eat the seeds, spray Liquid Fence, liberally on the sunflowers and surrounding area. Reapply as directed. Note that birds will go after the seeds, and ground hogs will eat the stems/leaves.
you may have to start them in pots where critters can’t reach them and then transplant them when they are big enough! Good luck
They need to be covered until they're tall enough to intimidate the rabbits. I've used a covered raised bed concept, these work great for small spaces and perfect for protecting seedlings.
