Vintage Coffee Pot Lamp

I repurposed a vintage coffee pot into a fun new lamp!
I love to pick up thrift store items for $5 or less, and when I saw this sweet coffee pot for $4.99 I couldn't resist it.
The first step was to start removing all of the old electrical components, so I could add my new wiring for the lamp.
I never realized how expensive lamp kits can be. I would recommend purchasing a newer (ugly) lamp at a thrift store and use the parts from it.
The most difficult part for me was trying to figure out how much of the rod should be exposed at the top to accommodate the lamp shade.
