Marks on cupboards- what to do?

Just moved into house. Kitchen cupboards have marks on them. I assume it's from nails scratching when opening. Is there a fix for it? There are no handles on doors so I assume that's the cause.

If the depressions are not too deep you can sand and seal. If they are very deep you may be able to fill in with wood putty and seal, but it will show as a patch and you may need to just replace the doors/drawer fronts.
