Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
Hi Joel,
No! just wash in salted water, and dry. The bugs should remain in the water - dead!
I use food grade diatematcious earth it kills little bugs and is safe for animals and humans. I’m not sure if aphid consumption is good, but I’m sure at some point we’ve all had a bug or two.
Remember next year get lady bugs you can buy on line...wips Them out really fast...same day.....
I spray my lettuce with soapy water weekly but the aphids keep coming back. Thanks for the suggestions.
Hi this is Peggy, be sure to wash you lettuce well before eating it. There is a vegetable wash you can get at the grocery. If you wash it a few times and don't see anything in the water it will be fine to eat, enjoy your salad.
Hi Joel - Aphids will reproduce rapidly and take over your produce! We actually use ladybugs to eat them. You sprinkle them on the ground in the morning or at dusk and let them go to work. We get ours on amazon here:

Good luck!
not a bit .. but you need to get rid of the aphids before they ruin your plants. You can use a strong stream of water, or a solution of horticultural soap and water, or a product called 'Neem Oil' .., but I prefer a liquid castile soap and water. They are a soft bodied insect and very easy to control.
