I wouldn't paint it. Have you tried Rejuvenate White Grout Restorer?
Yes many of the grout renew products are paint. Like the one Ann mentioned. The benefit of them is they are formulated to use for that purpose. They are supposed to prevent mildew, and help seal the grout. Either way, you will have to reapply them at some point.
