How do you prep, paint and care for painting cement floors?
I want to remove the carpeting from the hallway and bedrooms. How hard is it to paint cement floors? What kind of paint? Can't afford laminate or hardwood floors.

...a skim coat of cement over my slick indoor cement instead of sanding... Leaving the floors rough with enough tooth to hold the paint, then followed up with water-based polyurethane...no more dirty carpet
