I would cover the window with some of that film you can buy at the big box stores...it is put on using water, then trimmed to size. It even come with designs. This will eliminate the need for a wall covering and open up the space visually. Here is a link...

Consider putting in one of those narrow front to back vanities... This will open up some space as they are about 5" less deep than the standard 22". here is a link...

Put in a shower with a glass front...with the door at the end opposite the sink.

All of these things will open up the room visually.

If you have a plain wall opposite the toilet and skin, you can put up board and batten to dress it up if you wish, then paint everything white as well as making ll your utilities, flooring and tile white.

If you need storage, think "up!" Using 8" lumber, make a box to fit over the door as tall as you can but not touching the ceiling if there is molding. Make more than one if you have space. Paint it white and turn it on its side like a bookshelf. Get wire baskets to store different items in...you can see what is in these.

Then keep the clutter down. Here is a link of all white bathrooms and it looks like one of them looks like your layout...

You can cover the window using fabric and starch. Also a shower curtain instead of glass. You can change a shower curtain whenever you want to nearly any design or color. You can also close the curtains on days when the shower isn't at its best. And no mineral build up on shower curtains most can just be thrown in the wash every few weeks.

Wow! Jeanette has it all wrapped up for you! Great ideas! One thought occurred to me, though, if this is the only bathroom in the house, when you go to sell it, it will be listed as 3/4 bath, not full, which might turn a few potential buyers away.

I also like Mog's idea to put fabric on the window - a little color is nice. I would vote for the glass shower door, however. It is open and gives a spacious feel a curtain never could.

When my mother got her glass shower, she always had a spray bottle of some daily shower spray and a 6 inch squeegee. Her rule was if you use the shower, you take a minute to spray and squeegee off the walls. You use your washcloth to wipe a shine on the chrome.

If your household can follow the rules, there's always the grass sprinkler! Take pictures along the way and share your finished project with us. We love applauding great DIYers!!

One typo: If your household can't follow the rules...... there's always the car wash!!
