Hang a piece of art between the windows, switch out rug for a bold color, add a couple of planters and some candles. It's a great space, it just needs color
I would paint the trim on the windows but some plants , diferent sizes and put them at each end but not so snaybody would trip over them hang a big cute weather risistent emblem in between the windows . Like a big sunshine or a humming bird suckling a flower. You get it . that is some ideas.
Great space! Needs color! Potted plants, new rug, candles, lanterns, centerpiece. Tablecloth, placemats or table runner when dining. Lighting.
I agree with everybody : it needs colour but also some privacy? Even with all the suggestions above, great ideas, you can add colours and privacy pretty simple...
I am thinking about my patio, where everything still has to be done, and I lack privacy. So I have some ideas and maybe you can "steal" them?
1: I am going to put planters with bamboo left and right of my table
something like this.
2: Then I am going to pour concrete in pots with in the middle a iron tube of about 2m50high and put them at the end of my patio. Those tubes will have a hole in the top so I can fasten a rope or so and make a connection between them. I intent to hang light curtains and some fairy lights.
With the suggested decoration of our hometalkers above, I think it will be cosy.
What do you think?
If you want privacy/a sense of enclosure, you could use long, rectangular planters at the end of the patio, with either narrow-growing plants like "Sky Pencil" holly or put a trellis in the planter and grow a vining plant like clematis on it. There are many that bloom for a long time, with many beautiful colors available.
