What is the best way to add a water pump to my farm pond?
I have a small farm pond that does not have free flowing water. It needs a pump to keep the water moving. The problem is that it is not close to an electrical source although it is possible to run electricity to it. It also has at least a foot of pond muck in the bottom of it so anchoring a pump in the middle of it would be hard to do. It is only about 4 ft deep in the middle of it and is approx 40 by 40 ft circle shape . I need also to keep the cost down. My main goals are to get oxygen in the water and to keep algae out and to control the muck. This pond is home to many frogs and fish. Any advice???

they make solar ones -- NaturalCurrent.com has large pumps - but they're pricey! might be less expensive to hire a licensed electrician to run a 220 line ..
Solar pump.
Check with tractor supply stores/ larger harbor freight stores... they make solar adapters for large pastures for watering/ lighting issues.
Use a Solar pump, they are cheap, at either Gearbest.com or wish.com
Hey Tammy! Solar pumps are a great alternative to power operated pumps. We installed a pond near my front entry way. We didn't use a solar pump but feel free to browse our step by step tutorial to see if it helps!

Thank you. I think I will use a solar pump. Your pond is beautiful.
