Chipmunks will not stay out of my flower pots.
My flowers are half grown because the chipmunks keep digging out the dirt and exposing their roots. I've lost a few and I can't replace them because it's nearing the end of the season and there is only a few annuals left.

Sprinkle hot pepper flakes at the base of each plant. They get one taste and they are gone....
Hello. I put red hot pepper flakes in my pots. It keep them out. I also put fake snakes in them. These have been the only things that work for me. Good Luck!
Cayenne pepper works for many critters and does not hurt them - they just sniff and leave!
Yes. Red pepper, ground or crushed will do the trick. Buy it at the dollar store to save money. You can buy a few so you have it on hand. My local Lowe's store still has annuals. Many times they are on clearance for one dollar! Good luck.....
Alum in their holes can be effective, if you restrict their access to water.
