How to make improvements on our bathroom?

I really need to make improvements on our bathroom. We live in a very old house and I don't have a lot of money. My question is... how and what do I use to cover around our shower/tub and under the top cabinets. My pictures are below. Thank you for any info.

You could get some 1x2 or the size of the spaces can’t tell how wide from the pictures and liquid nail them to the tub and paint
I would think you can buy some quarter round wood trim and glue all around the edge and then paint it to match or contrast. Here's a link to what HD has:

My first thought Jo, is moisture.
If you can find basic tile like bull nose and paste them up it would finish it off and not be a mold attractor.
I would suggest going to a tile store with the measurements that you have to fill, and see what they suggest.
Sometimes, they have very inexpensive pieces left over from another job because they only have a little bit left.
Even if its not left over, it may not be a lot because it’s a small area.
They will also tell you the proper adhesive to use sticking it to the tub sides.

It looks like this bathroom has some very nice tile. I see the gaps that are bothering you but I think trying to obscure them will look like you are trying to do just that! Instead why not focus on beautiful shower curtain(S) maybe a nice bath rug and/or curtains. You could also have a decorative shower curtain outside and a plain utilitarian one inside the tub, and make a valance to match the fancy one and velcro that under the cabinet, these would all hide the gaps in the molding.
