If cost is a consideration - you will spend more to make than getting one at a thrift store.
This sounds like another case of the missing architect...
If that wall is load bearing, [usually it is best to consider that it Always is] you cannot just tear out the wall.
You need consider many factors when deciding to either:
A. Attach frames to a preexistent wall that interconnect the studs suffice to construct a large Cabinetry System as an extension to the wall, much alike a freestanding furniture that attaches rather than an inbuilt structure.
B. Reformation of the pre-existent architecture to be stronger than it initially was on day of build, by placing a truss or two beneath it, in the basement, using high grade materials in construction of an arch intowhere a Cabinetry places, by a process of: emoval of studs in part, placing crossbeams and attaching 2 supports left and right to every joint before facing that In-wall Architecture with a fine oak or cherry or maple to make it look like an entertainment cabinet rather than an oversized arch with shelves, drawers, cabinets and doors.
C. Purchase or make a freestanding furniture.
Either results a Furniture in your home that is designed for a Very Specific Purpose.
The three purposes differ however:
B is recommended if the home is more than 40 years old, because you are creating a more stable architecture than a 40 year old system of Studs and Supports can offer at that age, and B will be the first of many of these over 250 years of the home standing.
A Is recommended for a New Construction less than 20 years old.
C is recommended for anything between 21 and 40 years old.
But either way you yet need D, E and F first.
D.1 Trusses made of brick, mortar and cement, no fewer than 21 bricks per each cubic foot in height, placed in the basement to support the additional weight.
D.2 a decent jack to support a lift of the beam 1/4 inch or less between the region you intend to place your 2 trusses.
E. A general idea of the design, board layouts for that design, specs of how large you want the design, how weighty this design is, [usually estimated by weighing a 2×4×18 with 16 qty 12D nails and 1 handle, as the 'estimable weight per linear sq. Foot with hardwares'] and the general knowhow to design frames, interconnect these and construct it.
F. A basic understanding that:
I. the most sturdy part of any Architecture is never in plain sight.
II. The least sturdy architecture in plain sight, yet is quite sturdy and immovable without tools.
III. Architecture differs from Furniture as much as Furniture differs from Junk they sell at Walmart, K-mart, Ollies, Target and other: 'Not Furniture Suppliers' [alike Yard Sales that actually do sell the Yard, to the silly inquirer who asks, 'Hehe, can I buy the Yard'].
IV. Although the saying goes: 'Trim hides a multitude of Transgressions [or Sin]' usually, for the well practised, 'Trim is used to beautify an architectural component that would not ordinarily integrate in plain sight' more appears than Transgression.
In summary...
Do not be too suprised if your calculated weight and expense includes placing a load of Bricks behind an effective trim of: 4 qty of 14 total 12"×90"×3/4" and 2 qty 4"×90"×3/4".
Especially if you live in a ranch home with No Real Basement, Trusses, or only a Height enough for a crawlspace.
