How to reface kitchen cabinets?
How can I reface kitchen cabinets without spending a ton of money? The doors have an outdated design carved into them that badly dates the house. Budget constraints do not allow me to replace the doors at this time.

You could cover the center of the door, the carving, with a decorative tin sheets from Home Depot. Or get thin wood like 1/4 inch and cut it to size. Sand it and paint it and glue with liquid nails to cover the carving
i suppose you could put a thin layer of plywood over the carved area and decorate with a "frame" of molding or an inexpensive picture frame.
Bondo fill in the carving, sand it, paint em!
