How can I update metal kitchen cabinets from the 60's??
We recently bought a condo built in the 60's. It has metal kitchen cabinets that are in great shape. We want to do some renovation but have a very tight budget. We are purchasing new appliances but cannot afford an entire kitchen redo. What could be done to the cabinets to bring them into a 2018 look?

Hi Suzanne! My recommendation would be to paint them. You could use a brand meant for metal like Rustoleum. I would also update the hardware. There are self-stick films now that also can give you a new look. Prep well, and you should have a great finish.
Painting is the easiest solution.
Spray paint. They'd probably look good in aquamarine, pale yellow or even white. Any pale color will do.
Hi Suzanne, the quickest and most budget-friendly way to update them would be paint. Rustoleum or Krylon both make a spray paint for metal and they're both very good. Here's a site that tells about painting metal cabinets:
