Make unique planters! Here's some I made with empty food cans, but you could do the same with coffee cans too. In fact, they'll be able to hold larger plants or a group of plants (if you're using the really big cans). Hope you enjoy!
I use it to store vrac, i put paper sheet over for writing what i would insert and trensparent tape over
Put peal and stick paper used for cupboards and you can hold anything in them. My grandkids punched holes in three cans and now they hand water their moms garden. I cleaned some paint cans.....put some hole and rocks in the bottom......put some tomatoe plants in them and hung them along my sons fence.
now when we want tomatoes......we just go pick one.
Hi Gary, here's several ideas but most are repurposed into containers. A friend of mine made an ottoman out of several of the larger cans. Banded them together in a circle and then traced the design they made to make a pattern. She used quilt batting to wrap around the sides as well as placed it on the top then cut upholstery fabric to fit and sewed the pieces together. Very functional, lightweight, and inexpensive.

I've turned several of them into planters. They add lots of vintage charm!
Coffee cans are great for storage. They can be used in the home, garage and garden. We drink Folger's and the cans come with a built-in handle so they can be used to pour stuff like rock salt. My husband buys a very large bag of rock salt in winter. He puts a coffee can inside the bag and uses it to scatter salt on our driveway and sidewalk/porch. I do the same thing with garden soil. We have a lot of coffee cans in our garage too. They hold nails (in different sizes) and screws and various small items. We had a 4th of July BBQ this summer. I painted cans. One with red and white stripes. The other with stars. I served plastic silverware and napkins in them. Left over, I just put the lid on. They will be ready for next year. I hope some of these ideas help you. Good luck.
I use a lot of recycled containers to hold craft supplies. I remove the labels then add chalkboard labels available in the craft store. If they have a design on them just give the containers a quick coat of spray paint.
