How do I get my rug to stay in place?
I have a rug that I placed in front of our sliding doors to help with stuff being tracked in. We have berger carpet in our sunroom. But to me it gets a dirty look to it real quick. I'm hoping the rug helps. However, it's constantly bunching up and shifting. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to keep it in place. I worry about anything too sticky because I don't want it to pull the loops out of the berber carpet.

Rug pads!

The only thing that I can see is to buy an anti-slip carpet from Amazon to put under there.
You can get carpet to carpet tape that I use for runners and area rugs in my senior clients homes to prevent falls.... I buy it in the carpet section of my home store. Its about 2" wide, is a yellow webbed tape. I cut a strip for each side of the rug where the traffic comes and goes. Apply to the back of the rug by pulling off one side of the plastic. I then put it down and run my foot along the tape to make it stick. Then I remove the other side of the plastic and stick the first side down on the carpet. Run your foot on it, and press down on top of the rug. Then do the next side making sure any wrinkles are smoothed out first.
A rug pad would allow you to take up the rug if you needed to clean it or move it. It's amazing how well they work.
Get some of the stuff you put in the bottom of cabnits or kitchen drawers the puffy kind that has small holes in it. Cut it 6 in wide strips and put it under the edges of your rug and prob with that big of rug some big pieces in the middle and towards the sides as well the stuff is cheap at walmart. I put it under my moms rugs so they stay in place as she is elderly it works great !! Good luck !!
