How do you keep up with your wild flowers year after year??
I love my wildflower gardens, but each spring when I weed the beds I'm sure I pull the wrong plants up. I take pictures each year and compare them, but always manage to pull flowers not weeds.

I know early spring makes you want to go out and start cleaning things up. In a garden such as you describe I would wait until I was able to identify what was actually growing before I pulled.
Most wildflowers produce seeds in the flower head. If you pick the dead flower heads you can reseed in the spring. I keep mine in jars labeled with the type of flowers and what colors.
Wildflowers are weeds. But not all weeds are wildflowers. When you get enough wildflowers in an area, they will outgrow most weeds. Look at wildflowers along a highway. Whether they are truly wild or if the highway dept planted them (as in Texas), those are not weeded, yet the wildflowers are outstanding in their field! Sorry, Carla, I’m feeling punny today. Best wishes ☺️
