How to hide the 3 hideous electric/cable boxes in the middle of lawn?
We have 3 of those ugly utility boxes in the front center of our lawn. We have tried planters and raise plant stands but the kill the lawn underneath and it smacks you in the face? Suggestions please

Since I will paint anything would a faux finish of some sort work? Something like a garden suited to your climate or something whimsical?
There are are many of these type of boxes where I live. Most of my neighbors have gardens planted around the edge. They are a combination of small conifers and seasonal bloomers.
The boxes don't stand out with the plantings. (Although it would be nice if they were gone...)
We have a 10 ft. utility easement across the back of our yard which extends 10 ft. out from the fence. There is a large electric transformer box and a gas meter which take up the corner. We are planting ornamental grass which will hide them from view. Maybe that would work for you.
I would get different size fake boulders, then plant a garden around them. Smaller shrubs (evergreen) and some bright colored flowers will make it look like a rock garden.
