If you are outside looking to paint a patio or porch, you can use Behr Deck Over paint which is what we used on our concrete steps. You can see that here: https://www.aratariathome.com/blog/how-to-update-concrete-steps
Paint will either flake off, orange peel, or melt the vinyl floor. There are almost no linoleum floors any more, unless it is a really old house with absolutely no updates. Linoleum floors were made from cork.
Vinyl, is made to be: "An easily cleanable surface" and therefore, "YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST", PAINT WILL NOT WORK AS A PERMANENT SOLUTION.
I used garage floor paint. Yes, epoxy!
Ok Im confused one says paint will " melt" lineolum& another person says paint & epoxy will work..Its for the inside so guess I will try back of closet& see what happens.
