Paint your door. Replace the ugly light. Use a nice door mat. Small table and chairs. Decorate seasonally
You could add some planters, a bench, and some shelves
Hi Patricia. You can paint the door your favorite happy color. Freshen up your concrete with a good powerwash and sealer. You can throw down an outdoor area rug, then add a bench with some colorful cushions and a small table for your drinks. A shelf above the bench attached to the bricks would look good with some potted plants and a few nic-nacs, or outdoor artwork. Depending on where the area to the left of the door leads, you can add a sheer curtain to make it into a "room". A larger light fixture would work as well. Just have fun with it😊
First of all, I LOVE your house! There are some cute ideas here....https://www.pinterest.com/pin/545498573593939769/?lp=true
It mostly depends on budget and rental or owned ? Cleaning as mentioned above will be the first step in getting your imagination started. Great space ! Blessings !
The light is too small so replace it with a larger one. Perhaps make a planter on the ground or wall, again not too small. Some trim around the door and a new color.
Hi. I like the brick on your home and your front door lets in lots of light (which can't be beat!). This porch is screaming for a front porch swing on the open side. Your nice big brick wall will look great with a piece of wall yard art - how about mirror art with a door making it look like a garden gate? Put shutters on either side. Spray paint your porch light with oiled bronze paint. Put a large plant under the light to expand it and make it bigger. Prayer plants like shade. A sage green would be grand on the door.
I think your porch has great possibilities. Right now your porch roof looks like its floating with no support. One option would be three posts and two headers and four nice big chunky corbels/brackets. All painted white. Another option would be one big matching brick column on that outside corner and four nice big chunky corbels/brackets. Again all painted white.
I agree the light needs updated. Also I would add some white trim around the door to give it more importance. Décor would depend on how you plan on using it. Do you plan on sitting out there to spy on the neighbors or will you just be passing through to get to the front door. :D
