This is Big Brother Max
Ok, strange question I know. I've checked around and all I can find are dog closets. While I am a nut about my two yorkies, I'm not ready to devote an entire closet to them (yet). The cabinet measures 33"h X16"w. It has one adjustable shelf. The cabinet is very deep 24" and I think that is where I run into problems. It is also an upper cabinet so it is up kind of high. I need to store 2 small bags of food (different ones till the puppy gets older). grooming supplies and some clothes (ok, a lot of clothes) collars and leashes. Hey, they have to look good! There is an assortment of sizes as the puppy grows in to his brother's size so it would be nice to have some sort of way to organize it but still get to it easily. Since organizing is not one of my skills can anyone help?

Sorry I didn't a pic of the cabinet. I guess you can tell where my priorities are. lol
I use photo boxes to store my pets things. You can find some pretty ones at michaels. Label them and stack them in the cabinet. For the food get a pretty basket.
Get some of the plastic tubs from the dollar store, one to store the food bags in, and a couple for the clothes (one for the adult size, one for the puppy sizes), perhaps a smaller one for brushes, etc. Adjust the upper shelf to the height necessary for the bins. You should be able to easily pull them out to get at the things you will store on the shelf. Yorkies don't get very tall, so you could maybe even put in another shelf if need be. Using bins would probably be the best way to contain most of their things. You could use cup hooks to hang the leashes on the side of the cabinet with the matching collars attached or hung with them for easy access. You could put a comfy pillow that fits the bottom for a get away sleeping place for your "kids"
Thanks so much for responding so quick. Didn’t think about putting food in the bins. I guess I’m off to the dollar store and maybe MIchaels. I’ll let you know how it comes out.
Your pups are adorable. Wish I had an entire cabinet, but only a small space between an upper cabinet and wall (and not enough skill to build a cabinet in that space). So I added a shelf and shelf supports from scraps, painted it to match cabinets, and added baskets. Posting this because I LOVE these metal baskets. Their straight sides allow for no loss of space as in regular slanted sides. One for dog meds, the other for grooming supplies and their limited wardrobe! Food kept in a large rolling bin on laundry room floor where the shelf is. Harnesses aPlanning to add another shelf above this one soon. I think I got the baskets at Ross and have seen similar at WM. Have fun and share your results with us, please.
