How to remove wallpaper?
I want to remove a small section of wallpaper from a lath and plaster wall without destroying it (the wallpaper). What do you suggest? Thank you.

Mix fabric softener and water in a spray bottle. Spray the pare to loosen the glue. If you are lucky it may peel right off. Or it may not, no guarantees.
this would be tricky. Could you photograph a section of the wall paper and have that printed? If I wanted to do this I would score the outside dimension of the size of paper I wanted and then really soak the paper selected, with water, sponge it on or spray it on, then with a putty knife or such implement, try to raise a corner of the paper, keeping the whole thing wet and carefully remove. I have worked a lot with wet paper and it is pretty resilient but I have not worked with wallpaper.
I don't think it is possible to remove wallpaper without destroying it.
Steamer or old fashioned Water, Sponge and scraper.
