Go to your local nursery and see what they are selling. They only stock items guaranteed to grow and thrive in your region and they only sell them at the time of the year best suited for successful growth.
Mums and sunflowers are gorgeous this time of year. If you mean, for next spring, I plant spring flowers this time of year, like tulips.
