Whats the best climate and time of year to plant lavender ?
I want to plant lavender in my yard..i live in a very hot climate with lots of sunshine...can lavender withstand these climate conditions?

Yes it can! There are many varieties of lavender. I live where it is hot and very dry. Still 100° here with less than 15% humidity. Once established,will do well in the hot summers. See if these help you out.

Find a good garden center and check out their stock of plants. They may still have them available, if not try again in the spring.
I live in N TX, I bought lavender on clearance sale late summer and a year later it is thriving, & I kill every kind of plant I try to grow!
