You want to get rid of it? Then dig it out.
Are you trying to contain it from spreading? Or eradicate it? If you are trying to contain it is very labor intensive. It is very aggressive and invasive. Try digging down about 3-4 ft. Installing metal or rubber as a protective barrier, make sure there are no openings. Then refill area with fine gravel or decomposed granite, that will form a hard wall. I hope this was understandable! Best of luck!
I keep mine planted in a pot.
I have Been trying to eliminate mine for two years and it all started from one little sprig. If you continually keep cutting down to ground level, it will take a long time but eventually it will be gone. I had it about 20 feet tall but it is much better now but I have to keep cutting to ground level. I hope to eliminate in another year or so.
Good luck😜
