I live in WV petunias will not come back. .you may have a few seeds in dirt that may come back next year. .I usually pull out and add new dirt to the pot next year. .Good luck .
Hi there. Cindy here. Perennials come back every year and annuals don't. Perennials should be cut back in the Fall and mulched to prepare them for Spring. Annuals should be pulled out, roots and all, in the Fall. Annuals like petunias benefit from picking off the dead blossoms. The plant will produce even more blossoms afterwards.
