How do I turn bifold closet doors into barn doors?
I have 2 bifold doors that I want to cover to look like a barn door, but still function properly like bifold doors.
I did a quick make over on my sliding closet doors. I wanted barn doors , but I don't have the room for the normal hardware. I did research and found they make the hardware for my situation, they are called by pass barn door hardware , but it was $ 450 !!! Unfortunately , not in my budget 😕 i found a textured barn wood wallpaper on Amazon , it was about $24 , and it was more then enough...I also needed wallpaper glue and a squeegee..I never put up wallpaper before. Took me a little over an hour , and that was because I was being extra cautious , taking my time ...I covered the open circle area that you use to open and close the doors with , and put in rustic handles instead. They look great , everyone gets fooled , they think they are real !
From what I've seen, You'll need to take the doors off, put up the rail and rollers. Attach the doors to the rollers and you have sliding doors. Google it.
