I have 2 bifold doors that I want to cover to look like a barn door, but still function properly like bifold doors.

Dry brush a rustic finish on them, apply 1x3 molding, painted to match, in a Z shape.
Use the new plastic wood to add the trim by cutting to size and gluing on with Loctite adhesive. The plastic wood is super light and paintable.

Hey Melanie, you can buy peel and stick that looks like wood, you can add the peel and stick to the exterior, and paint the edges to match! Or leave the edges to contrast the peel and stick, Easy peasy, I attached a link with a wood grain peel and stick for you

I would attach the two doors together and then attach them to the barn door hardware like normal.
