Make a slippery ramp safer?
I have a wheelchair ramp and when it rains it gets very slippery. Any ideas how to make it safer?

Sand traction strips, or sanded paint, possibly thinner strips of wood to add a break or bump on the ramp. You may need weep holes to let water drain.
You can mix clear polyurethane with sand and then paint it on the ramp. This will give grip for the wheelchair. The more sand you use, the more grip you will get.
A more expensive method is a rubber runner which is usually sold for industrial areas. Similar to the one in the following link:

They make a tape you can apply that is grippy.
You can also nail down asbestos shingles. Get the width you need. I would seal the ramp first so that wood does not rot that easily under them. Easy and fairly cheap to replace when worn too.
I would also suggest pressure washing with bleach. The ramp at work would get slick when mold or mildew was present.
Use rolled roofing material. Use black as it will melt snow if it is in the Sun.
My brother-in-law built a ramp for him and me. He built it much steeper than he should. When I made it up the slick ramp once, he got busy making it better. He took a bottle with a slit cap of builder’s adhesive, about 16 oz. Then he had some sand used for making concrete. He used a shovel and tossed the sand over the glue and all over the rest of the ramp. He waited overnight, then swept off the loose sand. The glue was not dry at first, but as it dried, he swept off more of the sand. By the third day, it was dry and safe for me and my walker. He also built a strong railing in case I needed to hold on. There are several good ideas given. Choose what you think you will feel safer with. Spend the money it takes because you want to stay as independent as you can for as long as possible. Best wishes, Geneva. ☺️
Anti-skid tape is a quick, low cost solution. This should work perfectly.
