How to create an office space?
I love in small apartment. I have an Amish looking table I would like to use for the desk. Here is a picture. I am brain dead right now and my creative part is gone at the moment.
Thank you for any ideas you can come up with.

For small spaces, I always recommend vertical vs horizontal.

Hi Bianca! It looks like you could really benefit from shelves on one side or both sides of the desk. Bins on the desk could hold all the loose items. Then move the computer to the floor under the desk and still have space for a chair!
Blanca:
You can get some inexpensive storage cubes (they make "wood" ones too) -- you can organize your things in canvas bins and even have extra work space if you utilize the top of it.

Thank you guys keep the ideas coming I'm love it.
Target and other stores carry easy to assemble shelving units as well as door and sometimes drawer units that are intended for closets. They tend to be 12 inches deep and can usually mix and match. A couple of short bookshelves with a couple of the units with doors on them to flank the desk would give you both open and closed space. You could use those fabric bins for cubbies or baskets to hold things that are small on some of the open shelf space, too. A single file drawer on wheels for under the desk would give you a place to put files and maybe give you a sort of extra shelf. Moving the CPU under the desk or turning it sideways behind the monitor would free up some desk surface.
Is there a window in the room? Move the desk so that while sitting you can easily see the window (but making sure no glare from window is on the monitor)
Put a throw rug underneath your chair and desk for warmth (you never know when you will be barefoot)
Save money by going to garage sales or recycle stores to find storage (a small dresser, crates, shelves, etc)
I like hanging big bulletin boards on the wall next to my desk. First of all, you can add color to the room just by what you have pinned on the bulletin board (pictures from a magazine, birthday cards, or even splurge on a roll of wrapping paper in a neat print and pin up, you can then add your other items (calendars, etc) on top of it. Great for pinning up paperwork that you need to refer to all the time or notes.
I absolutely love minimalism in everything. My temperament is melancholic, my way of life is perfectionist, and for me it is very hard to see how many workers have piles of files on their desks that they can't make out. I prefer minimalism in detail, in everything. My workplace is neat and mostly all the folders are kept in cabinets. On the table there is only a notebook, a couple of notebooks, a mug of tea and of course a pen to write down the necessary moments. I also require this of my employees, and therefore I have rented a fairly comfortable (but not too busy) office from Osdoro. It is one of the best possible workplace options.
I started working from home back in July. Began with the desk and slowly added to it.
Since most of us are working from home now, it would be nice if you shared some ideas about how to organise an office space.
It helps to reuse/repurpose some items on hand.

First thing that struck me.... move the desk so it is facing into the room rather than to the wall. (Makes it better to focus eyes in the distance periodically, too.) Then do your arranging from that vantage point.
Have you considered moving the desk so that one of the ends is next to the wall? If you do that you could add asmall bookcase on top of the table (against the wall) to the left or giht, for storage of printer paper and miscellaneous office supplies in decorative boxes or baskets. You can make or purchase a riser for your monitor with storage beneath it as well. An upright stacked file folder holder is also great for getting keeping like papers organized and within easy reach. The bookcase idea on one side would still leave room for a buletin board or some artwork to gaze at when you're not looking at your computer screen!
This is what I did with a similar desk and area: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/hide-that-mess-with-a-skirt-18239162

I think you should begin by removing everything from your space. I would add some kind of shelves under the table or to the side of the table to hold your items. You can put shelves above the table to hold more decorative items. You can even stencil the wall behind the desk
I started working from home last summer and found that it’s more difficult to concentrate from home for longer hours. When you go to an office, you’re motivated by your environment to work, but from home it’s easy to get distracted. I would work from my bed and I had trouble concentrating. I decided to decorate the spare room in my house as a work office. I purchased new office equipment and some nice decoration to make the space feel more professional. I got my inspiration from https://www.gardenrooms.scot for modern office spaces. Having this space helped my increase my work performance because it’s easier to concentrate.
