How to get rid of moldy smell in leather and canvas pocketbook?
I have aired it, put lemons in it, etc. No luck. Thx in advance.

What can I use to clean and freshen leather sofa?
I save the little packets from over the counter vitamins and pain killers, they are great for keeping down the moisture/smells in my purses and drawers. Sometimes when I order something online a larger one comes in the package, I save them too. They are a gift that keeps on giving! I used to throw them out until I learned they are perpetually usable!
Have you tried scrunching up newspapers and filling the purse with it. You may also add a bar of soap. Should help.
Try charcoal or baking soda. Maybe Fabreeze will work.
Stuff full of newspaper or lumps of charcoal wrapped in a sheet of newspaper, will work. Set in the sun if possible too.
Baking Soda
Baking soda the kind in the box for the fridge with the open sides, should absorb the smell, before putting it in spritz (mist)some lemon juice into it
Throw some pieces of charcoal into an old (non-stinky!) sock... Put in purse for a few weeks.
If it is big enough, perhaps reverse it and put it out in the sunshine for a while to see if that helps.
