Can I restore a kitchen table with the tissue paper remake method?
I've seen some projects that use tissue paper and I was wondering if you could use it on a commonly used table top? Would it help hide bubbles on the top that need fixing? What kind of final finish would you use on the top? Any thoughts? I wanted to first paint black with a chalk paint and then maybe a colorful design and then cover with the tissue paper? Would that work?

Jeanette.. After mod podging the tissue paper (1 ply napkins also work well) let completely dry and use polyurethane (can use paint brush or spray).
You can try, but I'm worried it won't hold up, but sounds fun
I agree with Tinyshoes. Make sure to apply several coats of poly and let it cure for a few weeks before normal use.
