After a few sunny days, you should be able to sweep a lot of it off with a hard bristle broom. After that, I'd suggest a solution of bleach, a bit of dish soap and a bucket of water and a hard bristle brush and scrub the carpet. Let it dry in the sun. Now, if you have no sun or only a bit of sun now and then, this will happen frequently. I read about an anti-moss product you can put on your house and roof to deter moss growth. I think it was in Home Depot. You can check to see if the product is safe for use on your exterior carpet. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
Hi Donna, You have to take a stiff Yard broom to it. It works better when it is dry, but still worth doing. Maybe if you are not happy having to do this all the time, why not replace it with artificial grass.
Probably salt water
Plain old white vinegar. Then hose off and set in sun to dry thoroughly before replacing.
