What's the best flower/plant to grow in Texas?
I know that opinions vary, but what's your opinion?!I have great luck w Rosemary plants. Green all year long.
I have cut a fig down to the basic limbs. However, if you cut the top, make sure to cut the roots too. My fig tree lived 20 years in the house, and then we moved to Florida, and I planted it in the yard. Grew to be a large shade tree. However, whitefly killed it after 10 years.
Prune when dormant. 1/4 to 1/3 - any more can harm the tree. How big is "too big?" I have 3 and my oldest one is tall, about 15' or so, but I love the shade and all the figs!
