My carpets are infested with fleas I've tried everything and nothing seems to work.
I use a small bug zapper that doesn't have the high power of the outside ones. Basically just cooks them to a crisp so no odor. Turn the lights off and flies and skeeters meet their demise. Just clean every couple weeks and the electricity used is minimal
Here is a fun alternative to sprays. There are handheld bug zappers you can buy. You can get them from dollar stores, Walmart, and other stores. They look like a tennis racket, run on batteries, and are less than $10. You just swat the bug and it is killed instantly. If you have kids or grandkids they love using these things (as is evidenced by my own grandkids). I have put a picture below.
Hubby bought on of those hand held zappers. It was fun to chase flies around the house for a couple of days but now that thing just sits on the shelf. But it makes a nice paper weight!
