Wipe on thinned down white oil based paint. Do your prep, clean, sand , remove hardware. I use semi gloss oil based paint thinned with paint thinner. Do test boards to determine how thin you want your paint . Start with 1/4 thinner to 3/4 Paint add more thinner as wanted. Gives a nice low sheen finish. If you want to add a clear coat it needs to be oil based

Step one : Clean with White Lightning
Step two : Paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral paint
Step Three : Use Gator Hide for a water resistant finish.

The only difference in the instructions of the regular painting is just to water down the paint and do more of a wash then a solid paint. I don't have a pix of a kitchen white washed but here is one that was done with white Dixie Belle Paint in the color "fluff" .
