How do I keep the cold from coming in from my bay window area?
I use heavy curtains and haven't found any air leaks, but it's s up to 10 degrees colder than the rest of the room.
Thank you,
Chuck

the bay window is not normally insulated underneath, so you can take up the base gyprock and insulate or sometimes you can use a blown in insulation that works well.
Hi Chuck! Do you have insulated glass with a good seal? Single pane glass, especially in a bay window would be a real problem. So would a worn out seal. Have you tried covering the window with plastic sheeting? The winterizing kits can really make a difference.
Hi Chuck,. I have a bay window, and I have an enegry shield cover on my Levelor shade. It works to keep the heat from the sun, and the cold from dropping degrees in the winter. They cost about $350, but it works. Aloha!
