Get rid of knats?
Little black knats seem to be in every room. What can I do or put out to get rid of them?

Do you have live plants in the house? I had this problem after bringing home a plant from Ikea. It was quite large so I draped a cheap shower curtain liner (from the Dollar Store) over the plant and sprayed it with Malathion. (Yes, I know it is bad for the environment but I was desperate). It stunk up the house so I recommend doing the procedure in the garage if you have one. I let the shower curtain stay on the plant for a couple of days then removed it and threw it out. The stink was worth it because the gnats were gone and have not returned. Good luck!

But you are going to have to try to locate where they are coming from. Maybe garbage disposal.
I know how annoying they can be. We have that problem and here are some links we used to take care of getting rid of them. Hope this helps you too!

I too had a gnat problem. Because I have dogs I try to avoid pesticides. I went through my house and looked for any possible place gnats were laying eggs that would then hatch to be more of the little suckers. I then checked outside for the same thing. Finally, I used baking soda and vinegar in all of the drains (bathroom sick and tub, kitchen sink, basement deep sink). I did not have a garbage disposal, but I have used baking soda and hot water to clear the pipes in houses where I did have disposals. It is a lot of work, but the upside is the gnats go away and you have all those things in the yard and inside the house are clean and sparkling.
Think of them as Fairies that live in you houseplants. LOL
