What can I do with the hole from removing a medicine cabinet ?
We just removed bathroom medicine cabinets and now want to do something with the holes. I’m thinking of adding shelves and would like detailed instructions on how to finish and add shelves. I’d like to remove another one and use it to store my jewelry. I’m not handy (neither is my husband)

Build a frame the size of your holes, put in shelves, if want adjustable add shelf standards and cut shelves a little less than the space between standards. Screw into the studs the Medicine cabinets was. Add trim molding around the outside on wall and edge of new shelf unit. Paint or stain. Good luck, you can do it.
Oh cover the whole inside with eather wood or Sheetrock and use as a cubby shelf
Hi Deb,
Here is a tutorial that walks you through it.
I used a large mirror to cover the hole because I wasn't good at carpentry that advanced. Besides, I need to see my face when I brush my teeth. So I would make sure you add a mirror with shelving.
lol I hope you want more decorative ideas, too. I used a hole in my office wall to put an art print in, covered it with a sheet of.glass and framed it. You could also set a shadow box in the wall.
