yes i just want to know about plants for a small rock garden ?
Your local garden center will likely sell shrubs that are good for your native area. I would head there and ask the people working what is easy to grow in a rock garden.
Hydrangeas take up a lot of room and can grow quite large. Look for something like an Azalea if you are looking for a shrub. Smaller height perennials are good in a smaller garden. Plant in groups of three or five.
I think alpines or prairie plants would suit you better. Hydrangeas are very large although these are a great plant for a display, You said a small rockery garden. You need to consider before buying what your type of soil is in your garden and where the plants will be situated, or full sun or shelter. Whether you want carpet covering plants or small plants that don't grow too much, also need to consider the heights and width for the placing of them. Look on Pinterest for ideas.
Hi Lisa,
Hydrangea bushes would be beautiful! My suggestion though would be to contact your local county Cooperative Extension service. They will know what type of bushes grow the best in your area. Here's a link to get you started. Look under "Locations" to find your county then give them a call. Wishing you the best.

Thank you all soooo much!!!!!😊
consider the size of your home and size of the garden. Hydrangeas may be too big. If you're going for a smaller garden, consider using shorter perennials. Your local nursery can advise you as to what plants to put in.
