Magic Eraser is the best solution for any soap scum or calcium build up on glass shower doors AND the tub and walls, right down to the fixtures. AI swear by it.
I spray 50/50 water and vinegar and use a scrub brush or toothbrush to get in the corners.
Hi Barbara, I use a steamer. You can check out some ideas here. https://www.merrymaids.com/blog/diy/cleaning-shower-door-tracks/
I use a mixture of Dawn original (blue), Vinegar & water in a spray bottle. It works great cutting the soap scum, grease, hard water - spray, let it sit, rinse & wipe.
shower power.....amazing
Hi Barbara. I agree with the dawn and vinegar. .I have not tried a magic Easier. .you have some good answer. .Good Luck .
To help get at hard to clean places like that, spray with peroxide. Let it foam/eat the infection for a few minutes, then take tooth brush, Q Tips and/or anything else to reach the infected area. I also spray it around the outer edger of Kitchen & Bathroom sinks and taps as well as tub & showers. Glass and counter tops, use a exfoliating glove. Can work, pick up and use others with glove still on. Hope this helps.
I use Barkeepers powder on a wet sponge and it takes off hard water and soap scum.
Vinegar
I read that the mixture of Dawn original (blue), Vinegar & water in a spray bottle, works better if it is heated before spraying. You can use boiling water when mixing the Dawn, Vinegar and water in the bottle or if it is already mixed, put it in the microwave for 30 seconds (in a microwave safe container). Then - spray, let it sit, allowing at least 15 minutes, rinse & wipe.
I’ve found WD40 does the best job.
My mother always used white vinegar and water, and a worn out loofah sponge. Put equal amounts of white vinegar and water into a spray bottle. Spray the area and with your old loofah sponge scrub and rinse off with clean water. Give it a try.
Of all of the responses you have received....and I have tried most of them over the years...I have to agree that the Mr. Clean Magic erasers are the best solution to removing soap scum from bathroom glass does, shower/tub walls and floors...anything. They work like magic!!!!
Take 000 steel wool and glass cleaner and then wipe off with a clean paper towel.
WD-40 and a green scrubby has always been my go to.
