How do you get rid of the mold under your shower door?

Where the mold is where the shower basin connects with the shower door behind the clear adhesive.
Hi Frank,
You might be able to kill it by spraying vinegar along the edge of the strip. It might seep inside if you let it sit for a while. If not, you'll need to remove the strip, clean it, then replace it. Sometimes that is easier said than done. I had that happen and had to remove the strip but was unable to find a replacement. Mine still keeps the water off the floor, but that might not work for every shower. If you see any results at all with the vinegar, keep repeating until all of the mold is gone. BTW, vinegar works better than bleach for actually killing the mold. Wishing you the best.
the caulking is no longer doing it's job. needs removed and some vinegar sprayed under let sit over night then rinsed with hot water then repeated if needed then recaulked so water cannot get under it again
Bleach does not kill mold spores. but it will lessen the staining and then coat with vinegar, making sure that you squirt it under that molding. Let it dry on its own and then recaulk.
Hi Frank - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Use vinegar. It will kill the mold.
Vinegar kills mold much better then bleach. Put some in a spray bottle and spray on and let it sit for several hours. When things are clean you can determine if you need to new caulking or what the next step will be.
