Stick with the black.
stainless steel because everything is black & the contrast would look better
IMHO, if only one appliance is ss it would look out of place, you should have the stove, microwave/convection, and the fridge all be of matching finishes, all black or a mixture of black, but not solid ss
Hi Brunie,
The choice is yours to make, If you have loved the black look, if you can get same finish( Satin or Gloss) as your cabinets - then go ahead, but if it would be a poor match, better to go for a contrast! Stainless Steel or even a Bright Coloured one!
I would match your other appliances. UNLESS...your other appliances are on their way out too. If you are planning to replace all of them eventually soon, then I would go with what you really want instead of what you feel like should match. I am in the same situation. HA!! I am going to switch from black to stainless steel. If an appliance goes out in the meantime....it will be stainless.
I agree with the others, choose what you prefer. From personal expierence though, black appliances are more tough to clean and to keep looking clean. They tend to show smears and smudges and what not more easily. I think stainless steel would match with everything and brighten up the room.
