It depends on what your plant is.
Hi there, you will need to either put it in front of a nice size window or you will have to get a grow light with the red and blue spectrum. I have a parlor palm and it is in front of a big window and it is growing nicely.
I use a compost jar. You put used coffee and tea grinds in and egg shells. Then fill it with water. Let it sit about a week. This is called compost tea. Then water your plants with it. Keep adding water and grinds if necessary. This is a natural fertilizer.
