How can I build and inexpensive fence?
My fences were blown down by a mini tornado during the storm on 10/31/18. This was not in the budget and does not meet my insurance deductible. What is an inexpensive solution I can do by myself?

Hi Danita,
I'm Linda and while I don't know much about fixing fences, we did have a similar problem when part of our privacy fence rotted out and had to come down. We planted hedge style plants! They can be anything from forsythia to boxwood. If your funds are limited look for an inexpensive product. For us, it was simple. We already had a few forsythia bushes so we cut off some branches, stuck the ends in a root growth product and put them in the ground. I will say that it took a while before the grew enough to give us privacy - especially since we had to trim them so that they would branch out, but the result was worth it to us. Wishing you the best!
How were they anchored? Did it break the fence posts too?
If you can drive tall steel rods into the ground on both sides of fence, at 6' intervals, you should be able to re-right your fence using fencing wire, at least until you can better anchor it in concrete or similar.
Thank you. The post didn’t break but pulled up from the rain soaked ground.
