How do I paint shiplap?
Does any one have any painting tips for the tongue and groove shiplap? What was most helpful to get the paint in each of the grooves. We put shiplap up this past weekend,as we started to paint we realized the grooves were going to be a painters nightmare challenge? Thank you

When we painted ours we used a small brush to paint the grooves first then a large brush to do the rest. Our grooves ran vertically so it wasn't too bad. Good luck and just remember how awesome it'll look at the end :)
A good angled brush made all the difference when I painted some grooved paneling. This one worked best:

I just used a paint brush. A roller got most of it though.
A small paint brush should do the job, just watch for runs and drips incase you put to much paint on the brush.
Purchase a smaller, angled bristle brush for easiest application in grooves.
Ship Lap and Tongue & Groove are 2 different things and you need a paint brush or long nap roller. Here's some pics so you can see the difference in edges on them Ship Lap https://thecraftsmanblog.com/no-joanna-thats-not-shiplap/ Tongue & Groove https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-in-x-6-in-x-8-ft-Gorman-Pine-Tongue-and-Groove-Siding-6-Pack-168PTG6PK/207045637
Thank you to everyone that gave me your tips. What I ended up having to do was buy a 1” angled small paint brush and a even smaller artist paint brush to get where the other one couldn’t reach. It was pretty tedious, but turned out great.
